Types of Lines
Pairs of lines can be described according to how the lines cross, or don’t cross.
Intersecting lines cross to form angles.
Perpendicular lines are intersecting lines that form right angles when they cross.
Intersecting lines are not always perpendicular lines.
Perpendicular lines are always intersecting lines.
Parallel lines never cross. They are always the same distance apart. They do not form any angles.
